Job summary

Syntech Recruitment Ltd are partnering with a well-established engineering manufacturer in Aylesbury to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Manager. You will lead the QMS development, maintain ISO 9001 accreditation and drive compliance across fabrication and metalwork processes.

With strong leadership and problem-solving skills, you will oversee audits, NCRs and root cause analysis, and work with procurement to review subcontractors, promoting Lean and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• HND in a STEM subject or equivalent.
• Strong experience with ISO 9001.
• Senior quality role within a highly regulated industry.
• Experience with fabrication and metalwork processes.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the company QMS.
• Lead the NCR and Root Cause Analysis process, including key quality metrics.
• Maintain company quality procedures.
• Lead internal and external audits.
• Maintain ISO 9001 accreditation.
• Review and audit subcontractors alongside Procurement.
• Support the wider Quality team with the ASME manual.
• Drive Operational Excellence, Lean and Continuous Improvement.
• Ensure accreditation reviews and audits are planned and completed on time.
• Monitor root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Quality Assurance Manager Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the company QMS
• Lead the NCR and Root Cause Analysis process, including key quality metrics

• Review and audit existing and new subcontractors alongside Procurement
• Support the wider Quality team with the ASME manual

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• HND in a STEM subject or equivalent
• Strong experience with ISO 9001
• Previous experience in a senior quality role within a highly regulated industry
• Experience of fabrication and metalwork processes
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject or equivalent
• Lead Auditor accreditation in ISO 9001 / AS9100
• 5+ years' senior quality experience within Aerospace, Defence or Nuclear
• Experience with AS9100
• Knowledge of PED, ASME VIII and welding standards
• Experience using Lean, CI and quality improvement tools
