About Edmonton Operations

Edmonton Operations is the second-largest production facility in Great Britain, producing approximately 150 million cases of drinks annually across seven manufacturing lines. It is the only site in GB that produces Oasis drinks. With over 300 employees in Manufacturing, Quality, Environment, Safety (QESH), and Engineering, working here can open doors to excellent career opportunities within Edmonton and other GB sites.

Job Purpose

The Quality Lead is responsible for ensuring all Quality and Food Safety requirements are consistently met within their assigned area. This role promotes standardized working methods, continuous improvement, and a culture of compliance and good manufacturing practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Quality and Food Safety standards, policies, and procedures within the designated area.
  • Support operational teams in daily quality and food safety matters as the primary quality lead.
  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics (e.g., non-conformances, ppk, GMP scores, customer complaints).
  • Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality incidents, establishing action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Embed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to drive consistency and reduce variation.
  • Conduct routine quality audits and GMP checks to maintain standards.
  • Support training and upskilling of team members, including Lab Technicians, to maximize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Engineering, HSE) to proactively improve quality standards and identify risks.
  • Lead quality culture throughout the site.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring audit readiness.
  • Contribute to Operational Excellence projects as needed.
Preferred Experience
  • Proven experience in a quality role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) and GMP.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and influencing skills across organizational levels.
  • Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and quality tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, FMEA) is desirable.
Qualifications

Relevant qualifications in Food Science, Quality Management, or related fields are preferred.
