Quality Assurance Lead

AfC is recognised for their work to encourage innovation and empower staff, building a learning culture and delivering best practice. This is an exciting time to join us as the Quality Assurance Lead to support the Head of Practice Learning and Principal Social Worker in co-ordinating quality and performance review across Early Help and Children’s Social Care for the Royal London Borough of Kingston and the London Borough of Richmond.

About the role

As the Quality Assurance Lead for Achieving for Children, youwill support with:

  • the implementation of the core auditing programme
  • deep dives and table top reviews
  • working closely with the intelligence service to have an in-depth understanding of patterns and themes emerging across practice

Quality Assurance and Review puts the child at the centre of practice and a key role will be to champion the voice of the child and family through feedback loops which help us to understand the impact on from practice and interventions on the outcomes for children. The successful candidate will report to the Principal Social Worker.

About you

To be the Quality Assurance Lead for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

  • Educated to degree level in social work with proven evidence of continuing professional development and registered with Social Work England.
  • Coaching and or mentoring qualification or experienced in training professionals.
  • Management experience in children's social care (preferred) with a strong ability to apply various practice models and tools.
  • Deep knowledge of legislation, statutory frameworks, and national policy related to children, young people, and families.
  • Strong understanding of key challenges in children's social care, with experience in using research and evidence to inform decisions.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits and using learning to improve practice.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing quality assurance systems to enhance service delivery.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and drive best practices across Early Help and Children’s Social Care.
  • Experience in presenting complex reports, with strong analytical, IT, and report writing skills.
  • Proven ability to use user feedback to improve services and influence practice.
