Job Description

Red Bull Advanced Technologies (RBAT) is a dynamic hub of innovation, consistently pushing the boundaries across land, sea, and air. Our project portfolio is unparalleled. Beyond the groundbreaking RB17 Hypercar and the Red Bull-commissioned submarine, we actively partner with the KTM Moto GP Team and collaborate with Alinghi Red Bull Racing in their America’s Cup campaign. Drawing on Formula One expertise and precision, we elevate the AC75 Racing Yacht and revolutionize Moto GP aerodynamics.

Red Bull Advanced Technologies are constantly elevating performance to new heights, and the recently announced RB17 two-seat Hypercar is set to be the ultimate on-track driving experience pushing design and technical boundaries far beyond what has previously been imagined.

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join the supply chain team at RBAT.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To confirm the quality of parts and assemblies produced for & by Red Bull Advanced Technologies in support of the expectations of the design/technical intent using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) methods.
  2. Ensuring quality procedures are understood & followed at every stage of the inspection phases.
  3. Ensure that data is entered into the business system accurately and timely, this is to include but is not limited to – Parts Management System & Quality reporting system entries.
  4. Identify non-conforming components, completion of inspection reports and deliver accurate information to enable best decision making.
  5. Support any Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) activity, inputting sustainable contributions & measures.
  6. Working closely with technical & engineering teams in communications to improve quality part performance, reliability, and structural integrity.
  7. Carry out weekly calibration and log entries of quality equipment, including probes and laser scanners.

Key Competencies:

  1. Comprehensive knowledge of Polyworks including programming and editing.
  2. Extensive knowledge of inspection processes using CMM, Romer Arm, and inspection hand tools are expected. The addition of knowledge on the use of height gauges, shadow graph, hardness testing & form tracer would be beneficial.
  3. Thorough knowledge of metrology principles and measurement techniques/equipment including GD&T to apply robust inspection techniques.
  4. Experience of CAD models including interrogating CAD models, layer setting and Ref Sets.
  5. 3+ years’ experience within a quality environment working to tight deadlines.
  6. Knowledge and experience in the deployment and use of SPC, MSA, Gauge R&R and FMEA’s.
