Reed Food & FMCG is supporting a well-established food manufacturer in recruiting a Quality Assurance & Hygiene Assistant in Redditch. This permanent, full-time role offers exposure across Quality, Technical and Hygiene functions, with salary up to £30,000 plus benefits.

You will assist in maintaining food safety, quality and compliance systems and contribute to continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience in QA/Quality/Technical or Hygiene roles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of GMP and food safety standards.
• Comfortable working across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities of Quality and Technical function.
• Maintain quality, hygiene and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate product and environmental sampling programmes.
• Produce technical reports, KPI data and trend analysis.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations and corrective actions.
• Support internal audits, traceability exercises and site compliance activities.
• Monitor adherence to quality, food safety and hygiene standards.
• Work with Production, Operations and Technical teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with technical projects and site improvements.

Working as part of the Technical team, you will support the site's food safety, quality and compliance systems while helping to ensure the highest standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing operation.

The Role
