An established industry player is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer II to enhance software quality for next-generation devices. In this pivotal role, you will lead quality initiatives, develop test frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software reliability. You are a stakeholder to the quality of software in Amazon. You build software and tools for testing Device OS software that will ship on the next generation of Amazon Devices.
This is a high-impact role that owns organizational level quality improvements. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will drive new Quality initiatives, build new test frameworks and processes for testing device software. You will establish quality metrics and best practices for the team. You will lead the team by example. You will bring new ideas and innovate to build/leverage as needed. You will be responsible for looking to the future and identifying what the team will need.
Key job responsibilities
- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or coding
- Experience developing high quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
