Job Description

A growing UK-based aerospace company is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support quality compliance across cutting-edge rocket engine and propulsion programmes. Working as part of a dynamic Quality & Product Assurance team, you’ll help ensure products meet the highest standards across their full lifecycle from design and build to test and delivery.

This hands-on engineering role is ideal for someone with experience in quality or product assurance, preferably within aerospace, defence, or other regulated engineering sectors.

Quality Assurance Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in customer and supplier milestone reviews (MPCB, MRR, TRR, DRB)
  • Support and maintenance of product assurance (PA) documentation in line with ECSS and contractual requirements.
  • Interpret and flow down PA requirements to suppliers; assess supplier compliance
  • Monitor product quality during manufacturing and testing phases
  • Assist with compiling End Item Data Packs (EIDPs) and resolving Review Item Discrepancies (RIDs)
  • Support non-conformance management and root cause investigations
  • Engage in internal and supplier audits (AS9100/ISO9001)

Quality Assurance Engineer

Requirements:

  • Degree relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a Quality or Product Assurance role within aerospace, defence, or similarly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality standards
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office and document management systems

Desirable:

  • Experience with ECSS standards, EEE components, or materials/process qualification.
  • Knowledge of EIDPs, audits, and product qualification.
