An established industry player is seeking a Quality Assurance Counselor to oversee compliance and quality assurance in juvenile facilities. This role involves serving as a key contact for peer reviews, managing case documentation, and facilitating community programs. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and experience with juvenile populations, demonstrating skills in behavior analysis and crisis intervention. This posting covers multiple facilities in the Piedmont Region, including: Cabarrus Youth Development Center, Cabarrus Juvenile Detention Center, Alexander Juvenile Detention Center, and Rockingham Youth Development Center. Note: Vacancies for this position are limited. Each facility has at least one vacancy but will not have more than two.
Reporting Structure: Positions will report directly to the Facility's assigned Regional Manager.
Work Schedule: Primarily 10 am - 7 pm, with one weekday per week from 1 pm - 10 pm. Expect to work one Saturday and one Sunday per month.
Note: Job duties require driving a state vehicle. A valid driver’s license must be obtained by the date of hire.

Salary and Advancement: Youth Counselors enjoy annual salary increases via a step pay plan, with initial salary based on education and experience. Opportunities for promotion and advancement within Juvenile Justice are available.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Candidates must demonstrate experience with at least two of the following areas: behavior analysis, child development, family systems, counseling techniques, minority cultures, behavioral treatments, or crisis intervention. Experience in developing and administering treatment plans is also required.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience working with juvenile or family populations, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
