Job description

Night Shift Role at Selby

Shift Details: Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6pm - 6am. After 6 weeks, the schedule rotates to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for another 6 weeks.

At Selby, we employ over 750 colleagues at a site with a rich history. We are the UK's leading manufacturer of customer private label cooking sauces and pickles, operating since 1914. Annually, we produce over 160 million units across 600 product lines for clients including Morrisons, Tesco, and Asda.

Pay rates: Night shift - £17.88 per hour (Overtime after 36 hours/week at x1.25)

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure completion and proper sign-off of all production line checks related to food safety and quality.
  2. Be flexible across all line disciplines, including recipe and pickles, and rotate job functions as needed.
  3. Conduct glass/hard plastic audits, GMP audits, and enforce GMP standards.
  4. Perform CCP and quality checks, support production with quality and food safety issues.
  5. Carry out label checks, documentation audits, and assist during product trials and initial production runs.
  6. Support team coverage during absences, including scheduled calibration of equipment and proper use of measuring instruments.
  7. Maintain legible and genuine records, and train new team members when required.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Level 2 Food Hygiene, HACCP, and Health & Safety certifications.
  2. Strong communication skills and team support abilities.
  3. Attention to detail, diligence, and ability to work under pressure.
  4. Influencing skills, organizational ability, and legible documentation skills.
  5. Computer literacy and food factory experience.
