Qualifications

• Certification in food hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety required.
• Experience in food factory environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production line checks are completed and signed off for food safety.

Job description

Nights Shift - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 6pm - 6am

(After 6 weeks, rotates to Thursday, Friday, Saturday for a further 6 weeks)

Here at Selby, we employ a team of over 750 colleagues. Our site, steeped in history, is the UK's number one manufacturer of customer private label cooking sauces and pickles. We have been serving our customers from Selby since 1914, producing more than 160 million units annually across 600 different product lines for clients such as Morrisons, Tesco, and Asda.

Pay rates (Overtime after 36 hours/week x1.25):

Night shift - £17.88 per hour

What you'll be doing

1. Ensure all production line checks are completed by trained operatives and correctly signed off, relating to all food safety and quality aspects.
2. Work flexibly across all line disciplines and areas (recipe, pickles, etc.) and rotate job functions on all lines.
3. Conduct glass/hard plastic audits.
4. Perform GMP audits and enforce GMP standards.
5. Carry out CCP and quality checks.
6. Support production with quality and food safety concerns.
7. Perform label checks.
8. Conduct documentation audits.
9. Assist during product trials and initial production runs.
10. Cover all production areas as part of a team of Quality Auditors when team members are absent.
11. Schedule calibration of equipment.
12. Use measuring equipment and instruments correctly.
13. Ensure all records are legible and genuine.
14. Train and mentor new team members as required.
