Job summary

Kanes Foods Ltd. is seeking a Quality Assurance support professional to help ensure safe, legally compliant, high-quality products for our production lines. You will participate in GMP audits, HACCP activities and investigations into any incidents, contributing to continuous improvement across the factory.

The role focuses on supporting production, handling non-conforming materials, and assisting with new product introductions, while maintaining rigorous food safety and quality standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in a quality role.
• Food Safety Level 2 certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Proactively respond to incidents in the factory, support investigations and guidance to prevent recurrence.
• Support, advise and help improve manufacturing operations through GMP/process audits and clear communication of findings.
• Assist production in managing non-conforming products or raw materials discovered in the factory.
• Investigate microbiological issues and customer complaints when required.
• Be present during NPD trials and contribute to new product introductions at the factory.
• Ensure all food safety, legality and quality monitoring equipment is verified at set frequencies.
• Conduct HACCP validation and verification exercises in line with the HACCP plan.
• Carry out microbiological and allergen swabbing, collect air/water samples and other samples for investigations or projects.
• Perform shelf-life assessments and report anomalies; contribute to quality and food safety system improvements.
• Participate in projects individually or as part of a team to enhance quality and production efficiency.
• Undertake other reasonable duties to meet business needs.

Reporting into: Quality Assurance Manager

Main purpose of the role:

To support the production process to ensure we produce safe, legally compliant, high-quality products.

Job Responsibilities:

• To have a proactive approach to incidents within the factory – to give support during investigations and guidance to resolve highlighted issues and prevent reoccurrence
• To support, advise and help improve manufacturing operation and ensure products are produced to specification through GMP audits and/or process audits and effective communication of findings.
• To support production team in management of non-conforming product or raw material discovered in the factory.
• To investigate microbiological issues and customer complaints where required
• To be present during NPD trials and to take an active part in new product introductions into the factory.
• To ensure all food safety, legality and quality monitoring equipment is verified at the predetermined frequencies.
• To conduct HACCP validation and verification exercises in line with the business HACCP plan.
• To conduct microbiological and allergen swabbing, collect air/water samples and any other sample collection that is required as a part of an investigation or project work.
• To conduct shelf-life assessments and record findings – report any anomalies
• Work on projects individually or as a part of a team to enhance quality and food safety systems and improve production efficiency.
• Any other reasonable duties to meet the needs of the business
