Job Description:

Role: Raw Materials Technician

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (2pm – 10pm)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract

About the role

As our Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be responsible for upholding our rigorous quality standards by examining products and materials to verify compliance with both company and customer requirements. You'll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our Quality Management System while providing valuable support to the Technical team in achieving key performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct goods in inspections on all raw materials against the agreed specification and schedule
• Perform organoleptic testing
• Support with material-related issues
• Ensure food safety, quality, legality, and integrity throughout all site production, storage, and packaging operations
• Conduct audits of GMP, paperwork, chiller temperatures, stock rotations, internal systems, hygiene, CCPs, and fabrication as per schedule
• Conduct micro testing as required
• Validate and verify key food safety, quality, and legality processes and shelf life of products through testing and audit techniques. Report and investigate non-conformance reports.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Food Safety Level 3 (Desirable)
• Food handling and manufacturing experience (Desirable)
• Experience in a similar QA role (Desirable)
• Good organizational skills with initiative
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel
