Job description

We are recruiting on behalf of our well-established client for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join their team at their Packing Centre in Burgh-Le-Marsh. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Completing records and maintaining equipment
  • Monitoring pest control measures
  • Ensuring correct packaging is used
  • Conducting traceability checks
  • Ensuring all quality and hygiene standards are met
Main Duties:
  • Assist in the effective implementation of quality systems
  • Ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and requirements
  • Maintain an 'audit-ready' condition in the Packing Centre
  • Liaise with external auditors as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the QA team to conduct product and process tests
  • Maintain site hygiene policies in line with the Quality Manual
  • Regularly inspect ungraded and packed product warehouses
  • Complete traceability for machine seconds pallets during your shift
  • Check and maintain pest control devices as per schedule
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly check sheets in coordination with the QA team
  • Report any hygiene policy infringements to the relevant Packing Centre Manager
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a quality assurance or food production environment is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
