Job Overview

Role:

Exciting new position - will assist the Production Manager in managing all aspects of high and low care activities and the company's production processes based in Leicester. You will develop a food safety and quality culture across the business to guarantee customer expectations are met and that the business is “BRC grade AA audit ready” at all times.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Provide practical support to promote a Quality Assurance/Food Safety Culture
  2. Ensure the operational process and production of finished goods are appropriately controlled via HACCP, to ensure compliance with food safety and customer standards. Generation and control of all factory system paperwork and continual improvement of this.
  3. Internal auditing of BRC accredited systems and production processes
  4. Ensure compliance of documentation processes with production staff
  5. Complete product taste panels and record and monitor quality standards
  6. Ideally have experience with an ERP system (enterprise resource planning system); computer literacy is desirable.
  7. Assist with on-site training and help on the line when paperwork is completed
Skills and Qualifications required:
  • Experience from a quality/technical role within food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of HACCP and factory QMS gained through a similar role in the food industry

Salary is dependent on experience, circa £27,000 - £30,000 p.a., based on a minimum 40-hour week with occasional weekend and second shift late working.

Hours per week:

Monday to Friday across shift work patterns and occasional Sundays.
