Job summary

Pin Point Recruitment is recruiting a Quality Assurance Assistant for a fresh produce business in the CO7 area. You will inspect incoming fruit, ensure conformance to customer specs and maintain records within the Technical & Quality team.

The role involves documenting inspections, supporting quality activities, and collaborating with multiple departments. Training will be provided; a flexible weekend shift pattern is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Control or Food Manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong computer and administration skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Manual handling duties (up to 18kg).
• Flexible to weekend work and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality inspections on incoming fresh produce.
• Assess products against customer specifications (quality, size, condition, temperature, defects).
• Collect representative samples from warehouse stock.
• Record inspection results in company databases and reports.
• Photograph and document quality issues as required.
• Produce quality reports for internal teams and customers.
• Communicate findings to Technical, Operations and Commercial teams.
• Escalate any food safety or quality concerns immediately.
• Support routine checks when intake inspections are not required.
• Assist with stock quality reviews and continuous improvement.

*Quality Assurance Assistant**Location: CO7 Postcode**Salary: £13.30 per hour, with an increase upon successful completion of probation**Shifts: 5 days per week, including weekends on a rota. Flexibility is required as there are no fixed days off.*Pin Point Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join a well-established fresh produce business based in the CO7 area.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in quality assurance, food production, or fresh produce who has a keen eye for detail and is passionate about maintaining high product standards.
