Job summary

HEINEKEN UK is seeking a QA Analyst to join the Hereford site, supporting analytical, microbiological and sensory testing within a fast-paced laboratory environment. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you’ll conduct sampling, verify meters, calibrate equipment and help maintain HACCP and LSS standards while collaborating with Quality, Packaging and Production teams.

The role requires a Chemistry/Biology degree, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Biology or related science.
• Experience in laboratories with knowledge of procedures and safety.
• Experience using GC and HPLC is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute analytical, microbiological and sensory analyses, including sampling, preparation and reporting of results
• Verifying in-line meters and carrying out quality checks in line with LSS procedures
• Maintaining, calibrating and troubleshooting laboratory and production analysis equipment
• Keeping laboratory materials stocked and available
• Contributing to a safe, clean and tidy working area, following 5S, LSS and HACCP standards
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions (ISO 9001, LSS, TPM)
• Coordinating with shared quality labs on trend analyses, sample shipping and equipment management
