Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Pudsey is seeking a Quality Assistant to support the Quality Manager. You will conduct inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards. Ideal candidates should have experience with quality management and possess good technical knowledge in mechanical engineering. The role offers an attendance bonus, private health insurance, and 34 days of holiday.

The role:

A Quality Assistant at Schunk Carbon Technology Ltd will work closely with the Quality Manager (QM). You shall provide support in the quality, environmental and health and safety at Schunk Carbon Technology Ltd. You will conduct daily patrol and final inspection in the different production cells reporting any issues directly to the QM.

Main Tasks

  • Work with the QM and ensure that the policy outlined in the quality & environmental manual under ISO9001 / 14001 and the operational details are practised effectively
  • Conduct patrol inspections in the different production units
  • Conduct Final inspection in the different production units
  • Conduct internal calibration of equipment
  • Participate in quality system auditing internally

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience of working closely with the production teams, QM and Managers in general.
  • Used to professional handling of customer documentation
  • A useful technical knowledge in mechanical engineering
  • Experience with manual internal and external measuring equipment
  • Knowledge of surface testing
  • Good software skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP
  • Co-ordinate measuring machine knowledge and capability
  • Attendance bonus of £100 each month
