We have an immediate need for a First shift Chief Assistant Manager in our New Castle, IN manufacturing facility. Excellent benefits package and bonus are available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

Good understanding of Quality and Engineering processes within a JIT Seat Assembly manufacturing environment. Good written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Previous quality and engineering experience required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide technical support and contribute to product design to produce quality products at minimum cost.
2. Coordinate new model part and product development activity.
3. Establish and control project timelines.
4. Oversee tooling development and part maturation.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to associates and other departments.
6. Report part development status to management.
7. Monitor supplier quality results.
8. Allocate resources to address quality and design related issues.
9. Evaluate design change and cost reduction proposals.
10. Support company for specifications, design, and tooling related queries.
11. Review and approve corrective action requests and responses.
12. Evaluate part data and performance for acceptance into production.
13. Review and approve quality standards, ensuring critical control points are addressed.
14. Provide support to suppliers to improve part quality.
15. Support development of 5S, TPM, and Kaizen programs.
16. Ensure safe operations.
17. Establish and execute a monthly plan.
18. Ensure daily control items align with the company business plan and key objectives/metrics.
19. Perform all other duties as assigned.
20. Require extensive knowledge of new model activities, including quality and engineering procedures.
