Quality Assurance Assistant

The role
This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting food manufacturer business, specialising in bespoke products for Retail and online shopping. Working within the Quality Assurance and Technical team, the focus of this role is to ensure compliance with the food safety, quality, and legal requirements of the company Quality Management System and BRC standards.


Key Accountabilities

  • To apply set quality standards to ensure that all legislative and customer requirements are met through conducting audits including fabric, hygiene, GMP, glass, and hard plastics, and following up on non-conformances with the aim of preventing reoccurrence.
  • To ensure that all microbiological, chemical, and organoleptic (taste panel) sampling is conducted according to an agreed schedule, and records are maintained and communicated.
  • To audit that all records relating to food safety, quality, and legality are completed and are fully retrievable. This is tested through traceability audits according to an agreed schedule and through specific customer or 3rd party audits.
  • To aid the technical manager in the investigation of customer complaints and trending of technical KPIs.
