Eva Tilley is an independent, not-for-profit residential aged care provider with a reputation for providing exceptional aged care for over 60 years. As one of the few remaining stand-alone homes in Victoria, our care is uniquely personal with deep roots in our neighbourhood.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Quality and Risk Manager will have a key leadership role in the coordination, implementation and monitoring of Eva Tilley’s Quality and Risk Management Systems to ensure excellence in care and services are delivered by all staff consistently across the organisation.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside our dedicated clinical and operational leadership teams to ensure conformance with the new Aged Care Act and regulatory model, as well as the achievement of Eva Tilley’s strategic objectives.

What you will need to succeed in the role :

  • Demonstrated understanding of quality management issues, including systems and processes for achieving continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of complex tasks within and across several areas at the one time and to different timeframes.
  • Excellent writing skills including a demonstrated ability to prepare reports using clear, concise language, organise information into a logical sequence and include content appropriate for the purpose and audience.
  • Experience and expertise in the development and implementation of quality systems preferably within the health / aged care / community services sectors.
  • Competence in data collection, recording, analysis, and presentation.

You will bring

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate and clinical governance principles and application of risk management concepts within aged care settings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Competence in data collection, recording, analysis, and presentation.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (relevant post-graduate qualifications in risk management, organisational or project planning and / or health field will be highly regarded.)
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in a senior management / coordination role.
