Job description

Adept resourcing is recruiting on behalf of an international manufacturing business, with a great reputation as an employer, assisting them in their search for an entry‑level Quality and Inspection Technician to report into the Quality Engineer.

Role

To support quality and inspection activities, perform product verification tests, and assist in maintaining compliance with ISO standards.

Laboratory Activities
  • Perform initial verification tests on approved instruments.
  • Record and report test results accurately in accordance with company procedures.
Quality Support
  • Carry out administrative tasks to support quality-related activities.
  • Develop a working understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 standards.
Inspection
  • Conduct goods‑in inspections upon receipt, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and product specifications.
  • Process and assess customer returns in line with quality procedures.
Collaboration with Quality Engineer
  • Achieve 100% completion of required verification tests.
  • Achieve no major non‑conformities during internal/external audits.
  • Complete 100% of goods‑in inspections within 48 hrs of receipt.
  • Maintain accuracy in recording test and inspection findings.
  • Complete internal/external training to achieve a working understanding of ISO standards.
Skills required
  • Understanding (or willingness to learn) of general metrology principles for pressure measurement.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work methodically.
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.

On‑the‑job training will be provided.

Previous experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with engineering drawings and measurement equipment are advantageous.
