Join us as a Quality and Compliance Inspector at Thirteen Group!
Role Overview:

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Quality and Compliance Inspector to join our Governance Team at Hudson Quay, Middlesbrough. You’ll be overseeing the quality and safety of works across a high volume, diverse and geographically dispersed residential and construction environment, which includes a complex building portfolio.

This is a roam role, so you’ll work mainly from home and at least one day a week (Thursdays) from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team need, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You’ll be responsible for overseeing the quality of works on a range of M&E, Infrastructure, upgrades to our buildings, utilities and telecommunications provisions within our high-rise buildings.
  • You will ensure that building plans, risk assessments and design specifications are all being followed throughout completion in any works to our stock.
  • You’ll be working with a great set of colleagues from Asset, Investment, Compliance, Development and H&S collaboratively to ensure risks are assessed and quality standards and specifications are delivered in line with Thirteen’s standard.
  • You can expect to work from home, but you’ll also be able to base yourself in one of our hubs when required. You should also expect to spend the majority of your time working at our various sites across the North East, East and West Yorkshire.
About You:
  • You’ll have experience of overseeing building safety works, quality standards and specifications across residential properties, complex buildings, and construction sites.
  • You’ll be able to demonstrate that you can implement and scrutinise risk assessments whilst also ensuring that the execution of works aligns with the required standards.
  • You’ll be able to prioritise your own workload and achieve realistic targets, whilst using your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to influence and negotiate with customers, contractors, staff and stakeholders to drive projects forward.
  • You’ll be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of CDM principles and building regulations, including building safety.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of projects involving M&E and Infrastructure is required as you will be involved in delivery across a range of complex buildings.
  • You need to be comfortable and willing to travel across multiple geographical locations, and will need a full UK driving licence.
