Quality & Compliance Coordinator – Peterborough – £32,000 - £35,000

As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dedicated professional to ensure their products meet the highest industry standards and regulatory requirements.

As a Quality & Compliance Coordinator you will:

1. Ensure compliance with food safety standards such as BRCGS, HACCP, ISO 9001 etc.
2. Maintain and update Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance documentation.
3. Conduct regular internal audits and assist with third-party audits, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented.
4. Monitor production processes to ensure consistency, food safety, and product quality.
5. Investigate and address customer complaints and product non-conformances, leading root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
6. Support supplier approval processes, reviewing supplier specifications and ensuring documentation compliance.
7. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP plans, ensuring critical control points (CCPs) are effectively monitored.
8. Deliver food safety training to staff, fostering a strong food safety culture.
9. Conduct quality checks on raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
10. Support sensory evaluation and lab testing of coffee samples, analysing quality metrics such as moisture content and cupping scores.

The successful Quality & Compliance Coordinator will be able to demonstrate the following:

1. Experience in a quality, food safety, or compliance role within a food manufacturing environment.
2. Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, ISO standards, and UK/EU food safety regulations.
3. Ability to conduct audits, maintain compliance records, and manage quality management systems.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with production teams, suppliers, and external auditors.
6. High attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
