ESNEFT is seeking a driven professional to lead on Quality and QSI accreditation for the Medical Imaging department. The role requires a proactive, relationship‑focused leader who can drive accreditation processes across the NHS imaging services and liaise with UKAS for annual submissions.

The post is permanent with flexible hours (full-time and part-time considered) and a strong emphasis on patient-centred care, safety and continuous improvement within the radiology service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a radiology department.
  • Experience of working at a senior level within a radiology service.
  • Current experience of managing a complex area of work and leading a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Current experience of staff management in MDT working.
  • Knowledge of Clinical & Radiation Governance relevant to imaging and managing a modality area.
  • Awareness of the legal responsibilities of a radiology service to patients, service users, and staff.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

Responsibilities

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead on Quality and QSI accreditation of the ESNEFT Medical Imaging department. You will be required to have a 'can do' attitude and be able to foster excellent relationships with colleague and other departments. This post is permanent. Full time and part-time hours will be considered.

QSI accreditation is available to imaging services across the UK both within and outside the NHS. Accreditation is the formal recognition that an imaging service provider has demonstrated that it has an organizational competence to deliver against key performance measures. These measures require the department to achieve high standard of service in relation to patient centred care and choice, safety, fit for-purpose facilities and clinical practices. The standards are endorsed by the Royal college of radiologists and the Society and College of Radiographers.

Main duties of the job

  • Knowledge of current issues within healthcare and radiography.

  • Able to demonstrate involvement with implementing new processes, project management or introduction and managing training for implementation of new equipment in clinical working
