Job summary

Oxford Nanopore Technologies is seeking a motivated Quality Analyst in Abingdon to join the Quality team. This on-site role supports inspection of materials and assemblies to meet strict quality standards before production, in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have some experience in manufacturing, quality control, or technical inspection and are keen to build a long-term career in Quality.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a scientific/engineering/manufacturing/quality discipline.
• Some experience in manufacturing, quality, inspection or engineering environments.
• Ability to follow procedures with high attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable working independently and in a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out incoming inspections of materials, components and assemblies against specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using calipers, gauges and micrometers.
• Record inspection results accurately in quality systems and maintain traceability.
• Identify and document non-conforming materials and support investigations.
• Assist with collection and analysis of quality data to identify trends and improvements.
• Support production teams with quality issues relating to components and materials.
• Work with internal teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of inspection methods and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
