Kinetic Games is a new video game development studio based in Southampton. We are a passionate team of developers using Unity to continually improve and expand the horror experience of Phasmophobia, available on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with VR and PSVR2 experience to join our team. As a QA Tester, you will ensure the quality and functionality of our game, Phasmophobia, across multiple platforms. Your role involves working closely with the development team to identify and report bugs, suggest improvements, and help deliver a polished gaming experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive testing of Phasmophobia on PC, focusing on VR and PSVR2 to identify bugs, exploits, and performance issues.
2. Collaborate with developers to understand new features and ensure they meet quality standards.
3. Manage bug reports, test cases, and documentation using Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
4. Provide detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected and actual results.
5. Verify bug fixes and ensure they do not introduce new issues.
6. Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience as a QA Tester or similar role on shipped titles, preferably within the horror game genre.
• Experience testing in PC VR and PSVR2 environments.
• Understanding of the game development process, especially for post-launch content.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a passion for high-quality products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for horror games.
• Knowledge and experience playing Phasmophobia.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
