Qualifications

• Experience as a QA Tester on shipped titles, preferably in the horror genre.
• Experience testing in PC VR and PSVR2 environments.

Kinetic Games is a new video game development studio based in Southampton. We are a passionate team of developers using Unity to improve and expand the horror experience of Phasmophobia, available on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Tester with VR and PSVR2 experience to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and functionality of Phasmophobia across multiple platforms by identifying bugs, suggesting improvements, and collaborating with our development team to deliver a polished gaming experience.

Responsibilities:

• Test Phasmophobia thoroughly on PC, focusing on VR and PSVR2 to identify bugs, exploits, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with developers to understand new features and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Manage and track bug reports, test cases, and documentation using Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
• Provide detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, expected and actual results.
• Verify bug fixes and ensure they do not create new issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress and improvements.

Requirements:

• Experience as a QA Tester on shipped titles, preferably in the horror genre.
• Experience testing in PC VR and PSVR2 environments.
• Understanding of game development, especially post-launch content.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and passion for quality products.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for horror games and familiarity with Phasmophobia.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
