About The Vacancy

This fixed term maternity cover post offers an exciting opportunity to join our Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team to facilitate and support a major curriculum project UWE is undertaking as part of an ambitious programme of transformational activities to enhance the student experience.

The Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team provides university-wide support for the ongoing development and review of UWE Bristol’s educational portfolio across three interconnected areas of activity:

  1. Curriculum: supporting the design, development, approval and continuous improvement of the University’s academic programmes, including coordinating support for cross-university curriculum enhancement projects and initiatives and related evaluation activities.
  2. Standards and Accreditation: supporting oversight of regulatory compliance in relation to quality and standards and engagement with professional, statutory and regulatory bodies.
  3. Collaborative Provision: supporting the development, oversight and enhancement of the University’s UK and international academic partnerships and associated collaborative provision, including apprenticeships.

We are a very friendly, lively, informed and dedicated team. New members are welcomed and made to feel at home from the outset.

About You

You have broad-based experience in a professional or specialist service in a large complex organisation, e.g. a Higher Education Institution. Qualified to graduate level or with equivalent experience, you have excellent organisational, interpersonal, written and spoken communication and IT skills. You can work independently to manage and prioritise a flexible portfolio and collaborate successfully with a wide range of stakeholders. You have experience in extracting, analysing and interpreting data, and are confident in presenting it meaningfully to a range of audiences. You demonstrate a commitment to your own continuing professional development and will thrive in a demanding yet rewarding environment, making an enthusiastic contribution to the Academic Quality and Partnerships Enhancement team and to Student and Academic Services more widely.
