Job description

Location: Ruislip, Hillingdon
Pay Rate: 25- 35 per hour
Job Type: Temporary Part-Time Flexible Hours

Prospero Teaching work closely with Hillingdon council to support students in need of extra tuition to assist them in reaching their targets and building their academic confidence. You have the flexibility to choose between morning, noon or evening sessions to maintain a work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, curriculum- aligned tuition in GCSE-level Maths, English or Science.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons based on individual learning needs.
  • Monitor progress, set goals , and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support learners who may need additional help or have SEN requirements.
  • Foster a supportive and motivating environment to help students gain confidence and achieve academic goals.

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE in Secondary Education or core subject- essential.
  • Minimum 1 year teaching or tutoring experience at secondary level.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting students with SEN or additional learning needs.
  • Confidence teaching Functional Skills or alternative curriculum pathways.
