Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester
Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Temporary / Permanent (multiple roles available)
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50 an hour
Start Date: September 2025

About the Role:

We are currently seeking enthusiastic, caring, and proactive EYFS Teaching Assistants to work in a range of Trafford primary schools. You’ll work closely with class teachers and EYFS leaders to provide a nurturing, stimulating environment for children aged 3–5, supporting their learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children’s learning through play-based and structured activities
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging EYFS curriculum content
  • Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups
  • Promote positive behaviour and social development
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Contribute to observation and assessment of children's progress

About You:

  • Experience working in an EYFS setting (nursery or reception class)
  • Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and development matters framework
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, nurturing, and energetic approach
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Level 2/3 TA qualification or Early Years Educator qualification
  • Experience with children with SEND or EAL
