Job summary

Connex Education Partnership in Somerset is seeking Level 2/3 Qualified Teaching Assistants to support learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in various primary schools. Flexible day-to-day supply, along with short- and long-term placements starting September 2026, are available.

You will work with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, promote inclusive learning, and help pupils access the curriculum in a safe environment with safeguarding considered essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Have experience working within a UK primary school setting.
• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and classroom expectations.
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read Write Inc.
• Hold a DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one.

Location: Burnham-on-Sea + Surrounding areas
Salary: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

Connex Education are currently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Level 2 or 3 Qualified Teaching Assistants to work within a variety of welcoming primary schools within Somerset. We have flexible opportunities available on a day-to-day supply basis, alongside short-term and long-term placements starting from September 2026.
