About the Role:
Five Education is working with a specialist provision in Bristol that supports students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a dedicated and qualified teacher to join this committed team and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally.

This is a full-time teaching role, suitable for a qualified teacher with experience or a strong interest in working within alternative or specialist settings. You will play a vital role in planning and delivering tailored lessons that accommodate students' diverse needs while helping them to build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in mainstream, alternative, or special education
• Have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and SEMH needs
• Be able to manage challenging behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
• Deliver creative, adaptable lessons suited to a range of learning styles and abilities
• Foster a supportive classroom culture focused on relationship-building and trust
• Work closely with pastoral staff, therapists, and parents/carers to ensure holistic support for each pupil

Requirements:

• QTS or QTLS (essential)
• Experience teaching pupils with additional needs, particularly SEMH (desirable)
• A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Two professional references
• Right to work in the UK
