TeacherActive is recruiting a SEND Teacher for a specialist SEMH school in Yeovil starting September. You will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs, working with a dedicated support team.

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with a welcoming specialist SEND school in Yeovil that provides education for pupils from Year 1 to Year 8. The school is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment where resilience, integrity and mutual respect are at the heart of everything they do, empowering pupils to develop confidence, independence and valuable life skills.

We are looking to recruit a dedicated SEND Teacher on a full-time temporary basis from September. The successful SEND Teacher will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with SEMH, working closely with a skilled support team to encourage academic progress, emotional development and positive behaviour throughout the school.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience teaching within a SEND or SEMH setting is desirable
• Strong behaviour management and the ability to build positive relationships
• A good understanding of adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A compassionate, resilient and enthusiastic approach to teaching
