Job description

SEMH Teacher (English & Maths Focus)

Location:Wellingborough

Salary:Dependant on experience

Job Type:Full-time, Monday–Friday (Term time only)

Hours:8:30am – 3:30pm (may vary by up to 45 minutes)

Role Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEMH teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Wellingborough

. You will work closely with children who have special educational needs, supporting them both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or group support to pupils with SEMH

• Support learning during lessons and break/lunchtimes

• Assist the class teacher with daily activities

• Help maintain a safe and tidy classroom environment


• Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all students


The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working with SEMH/SEN children (desirable, not essential)

• Be committed, patient, and reliable

• Show initiative and a proactive attitude – must

• Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service)


• Have permanent UK residency – essential
