Our client has opportunities for a Youth Justice Case Manager. In this role, you will be part of the local authority’s Youth Justice Service, working in partnership with other services to support children and young people. You will help prevent children from entering the criminal justice system and support those who do to learn, make positive changes, and build a better future. Your responsibilities include safeguarding, managing risks, promoting welfare, and ensuring public protection.

You will focus on performance, policies, and procedures, working closely with Service Improvement Leads and responding to key practice areas. Your duties will include:

This role is suitable if you are passionate about helping young people, acting as both mentor and authority figure. You should be able to connect with children from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex needs or behavioral issues. Working with children in custody requires quick decision-making, patience, and resilience. You will be responsible for their safety, supporting their daily activities, and understanding their individual circumstances through training and development opportunities.

  • Develop individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment.
  • Support the development of unqualified staff and students.
