Job Description:

Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the busy team in Wakefield, based within the Children’s Team.

Responsibilities:

You will provide assessment, care management and social work services to children and their families, arising out of the council’s duties and powers under legislation, Council and Group policy. As a Social Worker on the LAC Team, you will bring experience and knowledge of statutory requirements for Children Looked After. Your responsibilities will include undertaking statutory visits, completing Personal Education Plans, care plans, and assessments of need. You will also work with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and have experience with court work. You will hold professional responsibility for a caseload, working within tight timescales and court deadlines. Additionally, you will ensure that each carer’s personal records are maintained to the required standards. Your role will involve undertaking home visits, assessment visits, unannounced visits, and supervision visits.

As a Social Worker you are required to:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration
  • Be eligible to work in the UK
