Qualified Social Worker

Transitions

Location: South Wales

Pay rate: £24.80 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join the Transitions team. In this role, you will work in a busy, supportive environment, assessing and supporting children and families, and intervening early to provide help. Your work will involve direct assessment of children and families, partnering with agencies such as police and health to achieve positive outcomes, and collaborating with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support once social care intervention is no longer necessary.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge, you will make assessments and determine appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will help you establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet identified needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable results, striving to provide the best outcomes for children. Your passion for supporting children and families will be central to your role, with a focus on protection and efficiency.

Ideal candidate will be:
  • Registered with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker
  • Holding SW, CSS, DipSW, or a Social Work Degree
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
  • Experienced in a Social Services Directorate or similar agency
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement
  • Excellent at mediation and negotiation
  • Skilled in working with diverse client groups
  • Experienced in building meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Committed to high-quality service delivery
  • Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
  • Knowledgeable about relevant legislation
  • 4+ years qualified
