Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Prepare written statements and representations for Court hearings within legislative frameworks.
  • Make complex decisions using professional judgment, critical reflection, and service user involvement.
  • Assess levels of risk and need, conduct safeguarding investigations, and maintain updated assessments and care plans.
  • Develop and negotiate personalised care packages with individuals and stakeholders within allocated budgets.
  • Undertake direct work with adults and families according to care plans.
  • Collaborate across multi-agency boundaries and represent the department in multidisciplinary forums, including chairing when required.
  • Model critical reflection, evidence-based decision-making, inclusive practice, and contribute to team and professional development.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
