An exciting job role has recently become available at the Sefton Council. They are looking for a new member for the Vulnerable People Service.
What will your responsibilities be?
As a Social Worker, you will manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and legislation. You will prepare written statements and representations for Court hearings within legislative frameworks. Using professional judgment, critical reflection, and service user involvement, you will make complex decisions. You will assess levels of risk and need, conduct safeguarding investigations, and maintain updated assessments and care plans. Developing and negotiating personalized care packages with individuals and stakeholders within allocated budgets is also a key responsibility. You will undertake direct work with adults and families according to care plans. Collaboration across multi-agency boundaries and representing the department in multidisciplinary forums, including chairing when required, will be essential. You will model critical reflection, evidence-based decision-making, and inclusive practice, contributing to team and professional development.

To be eligible for this role, you must have Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to hold a full UK driving licence and possess post-qualified experience. A degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
