Job Description:

An exciting job role has recently become available at the Sefton Council. They are looking for a new member for their Adult Learning Disability & Autism Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload with supervision, ensuring compliance with policy, procedures, and legislation.
  • Prepare statements and represent clients in court, working within legislative frameworks.
  • Make complex decisions using professional judgment, involving service users and needs-led assessments.
  • Assess risk and need in complex cases, conduct safeguarding investigations, and maintain updated care plans.
  • Develop care plans with other agencies, ensuring they reflect service user wishes and lead to personalized care.
  • Negotiate care arrangements with individuals, balancing choice with budget constraints.
  • Collaborate across multi-agency teams and undertake direct work with adults and their families.
  • Communicate effectively in high-risk situations, modelling strong communication and decision-making skills.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
