Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Adult Learning Disability & Autism Team

Location: Sefton

Rate: £35.00/hour

An exciting job role has recently become available at Sefton Council. They are looking for a new member for their Adult Learning Disability & Autism Team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex caseloads with supervision, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Preparing statements and representing clients in court within legislative frameworks.
  • Making complex decisions involving service users and needs-led assessments.
  • Assessing risk and needs, conducting safeguarding investigations, and maintaining care plans.
  • Developing care plans with other agencies, reflecting service user wishes, leading to personalized care.
  • Negotiating care arrangements, balancing choice and budget constraints.
  • Collaborating with multi-agency teams and working directly with adults and families.
  • Effective communication in high-risk situations, demonstrating strong decision-making skills.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving license, and possess post-qualified experience with a degree or equivalent in Social Work.
