Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Sefton Council for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Adult Learning Disability & Autism Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload with supervision, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Prepare statements and represent clients in court within legislative frameworks.
  • Make complex decisions involving service users and needs-led assessments.
  • Assess risks and needs in complex cases, conduct safeguarding investigations, and maintain care plans.
  • Develop care plans in collaboration with other agencies, reflecting service user wishes and ensuring personalized care.
  • Negotiate care arrangements, balancing client choices with budget constraints.
  • Work collaboratively across multi-agency teams and directly with adults and their families.
  • Communicate effectively in high-risk situations, demonstrating strong communication and decision-making skills.
