Qualified Social Worker - Safeguarding, Birmingham

Pay rate: £33.30 per hour
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated Safeguarding Team. You will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Your responsibilities include conducting Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Safeguarding Conferences, and working on children in need cases with a focus on permanence planning from day one.
You will complete assessments directly with children and their families and collaborate with agencies such as police and health services to achieve positive outcomes. The service maintains strong links with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer needed. Throughout, you will uphold and champion best practices.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build and maintain relationships with service users and partner agencies to meet identified needs. You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable results and providing the best outcomes for children, with a passion for supporting their families to thrive and flourish.
