Qualified Social Worker, Mental Health Team

Pay rate c. £28.51 per hour

Contract role

Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to work in a Neighbourhood 1 Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) in Lewisham. The CMHT offers support and a range of interventions for adults of working age with serious long-term mental health conditions. The social worker will act as a care coordinator alongside colleagues from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation and the voluntary sector. They will hold a caseload of people on CPA, cover the team duty rota, and lead on adult safeguarding and Care Act assessments within the multidisciplinary team. The Neighbourhood 1 CMHT is based in Deptford, close to the vibrant local high street with excellent transport links. The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of adult mental health casework in a community mental health setting
• Strong assessment and engagement skills
• Knowledge of clinical and social issues and risk management related to mental health service-users
• Experience working within statutory frameworks of CA 2014, MHA 1983, and MCA 2005
• Ability to manage a caseload in an integrated multidisciplinary service, undertaking fast-moving casework and MDT duties on rota
• Experience conducting various assessments and interventions, including adult safeguarding
