Qualified Social Worker

MASH – Part-time

Location: West Yorkshire

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated MASH team. As part of the MASH team for a local authority in the North West, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families to intervene early and provide support. You will work in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, delivering person-centered, safe, and effective social care services.

Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will help you establish and maintain relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs. You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable outcomes for children and supporting their families to thrive.

In this role, you will collaborate with partner agencies to screen and assess referrals within the MASH, analyzing information and making informed recommendations regarding interventions or services required.

Working Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday & Tuesday, 08:30 – 17:00
  • Week 2: Monday & Tuesday, 08:30 – 17:00; Wednesday, 08:30 – 16:30

Work Arrangement: 100% office-based

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualifying experience
  • Proven experience working within a MASH environment is essential

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
  • Experience with Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases
  • Supporting children and families in CIN and Child Protection planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings
  • Understanding factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect
  • Ability to undertake Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis, decision-making, planning, and review
  • Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
  • Commitment to continuous improvement for the best outcomes
  • Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
  • High-quality service commitment
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary, interagency environment
  • Over 3 years post-qualification experience
