  • Position: Qualified Social Worker – MASH (C SPOC)
  • Location: Southend on Sea
  • Salary: £38ph
  • Contract Type: Full-Time and ongoing contract

Join our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) as a C-SPOC Social Worker, and be at the frontline of child protection in a fast-paced, decision-critical environment.

About the Role:

Based in the Children’s Single Point of Contact (C-SPOC) team, you'll be the first point of professional contact for safeguarding concerns. You’ll work in a multi-agency setting alongside Police, Health, Education, and other key partners to screen, risk assess, and triage referrals, ensuring timely and proportionate responses to concerns about children’s safety and wellbeing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Must be a MASH Social Worker currently
  • Must drive
  • Analyse and triage referrals using multi-agency information
  • Apply threshold criteria to ensure appropriate safeguarding responses
  • Contribute to joint decision-making processes and strategy discussions
  • Maintain accurate and timely records on case management systems
  • Build strong working relationships with partner agencies and internal teams
