Location: Cumbria
Pay rate: £50 per hour
We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our dedicated MASH Team. As a member of this team, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide necessary support. Responsibilities include carrying out Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences, and working with children in need while planning for permanence from day one.
You will complete assessment work directly with children and their families and collaborate with agencies such as police and health services to achieve the best outcomes and sustainable positive change. The service maintains a strong link with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care intervention is no longer needed.
Successful candidates must be able to attend the locality for 3 days in the area, 2 days working from home. The work schedule is 5 days a week, with no condensed days, including a duty week every 5 weeks where attendance is required every day.
In accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will help you establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet their needs.
You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes for children, striving to provide the best possible results through best practices. Your passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish is essential. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.
