Job description

Qualified Social Worker - MASH

Location: South Yorkshire

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our dedicated MASH Team. In this role, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening early to provide support. Your responsibilities include carrying out Section 47 Enquiries, progressing cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences, and working with children in need while planning for permanence from day one.

You will conduct assessment work directly with children and families, collaborating with agencies such as police and health services to ensure optimal outcomes and sustainable positive change. The role supports hybrid working, requiring onsite presence three days a week.

In accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will deliver person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to meet identified needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable results, striving to provide the best outcomes for children and supporting their families to thrive. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

  • Experienced in working with children and vulnerable groups

  • Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
  • Skilled at building relationships with children and families
  • Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
  • 4+ years qualified
