Job Title: Experienced Social Worker - Connected Carers Team

We are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join our Connected Carers Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people, with a focus on kinship care and special guardianship.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 2-3 years of post-qualifying experience.
2. Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle, including business cover (inc. carrying passengers).
3. Current in-date DBS check at interview stage.

About the Role:

This role involves working with connected carers and special guardianship applicants, focusing on assessment work, developing support plans, and enhancing support services for special guardians. A significant part of the work includes undertaking court-directed assessments of friends and family when considering alternative care options for children. The role requires a professional with good knowledge of kinship care and the ability to manage a varied caseload dynamically.
