Overview

Qualified Social Worker, First Response Assessment Team Manager
Pay rate to £45 per hour
Contract role

Vitalis are recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to work as a Team Manager in the First Response Safeguarding Team at Leicestershire County Council. This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours per week, Wednesday to Friday, starting asap. The manager will supervise a team of 5 Social Workers and 1 Senior Practitioner, with responsibility for case management of the team. They will supervise 3 staff.

We operate a 5-week rolling rota onto duty and allocated back-up days. The manager would be office-based on duty and back-up days and have a presence in the office to support the team, with an expectation to be office-based a minimum of 50% of the time (and 100% on duty weeks).

Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 5 Social Workers and 1 Senior Practitioner; manage casework for the team
  • Provide supervision to 3 staff members
  • Maintain office presence during duty and back-up days
  • Operate within a 5-week rolling rota for duty and back-up days
